My brain is humming, firing away at nothing. I am choked by simple thoughts, convinced I am a stranger; commanded not to think or breathe. My face is bent, shoved into my own vomit. My thoughts are change in the dryer, they keep me awake at night when the sun has set into my belly and I swallow the darkness with my eyes. And the tips of my fingers and bushings of my eyelashes keep the pennies and dimes at bay. I want to stop this trapped rattling I want to show you those shining coins but I wouldn't know where to start. I must strive to believe in myself again.
